Twelve minutes returned to service

Six signalling domains brought into agreement without requiring the operator to acknowledge Platform 9.

“Core Vega helped us determine where the missing minutes were going.”
Director of Temporal OperationsNorth Coast Transit Authority

01 / Operating condition

The challenge

The network timetable lost approximately four minutes each month despite every constituent system remaining within its individual tolerance. Reconciliation was further complicated by passenger and signalling records referring to a ninth platform absent from the authority's asset register.

02 / Reference architecture

The deployment

Core Vega established one sidereal reference across signalling, passenger information, dispatch, ticketing, maintenance and public timetable domains. The undeclared platform was treated as an external operational stakeholder and therefore did not delay commissioning.

  • 1 × CV-40R coherence core
  • 6 × domain interface assemblies
  • 1 × HRO-12D authority
  • Platform 9 excluded by customer

03 / Accepted result

The outcome

Quarterly timetable variance fell from twelve minutes to below reporting precision. Services now depart in the same order in which customers are informed that they departed.

04 / Event record

One implementation.

  1. Twelve-minute quarterly deficit confirmed.

  2. Site survey records nine operational platform references.

  3. Estate plan confirms eight owned platforms.

  4. Variance recovered; ownership question closed as non-operational.

05 / Verification boundary

What the result includes

Independent verification was performed by parties independent of any data excluded before verification.

INCLUDED IN OUTCOME
